Ocie Glover
Head Volleyball Coach

Director of Athletics Nikki Bull-Eguez has named Springfield native Ocie Glover as the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach for Benedictine University at Springfield. Glover is the third coach in program history since becoming an NAIA institution in 2010.

Glover hit the ground running soon after her hire, signing on five recruits (Carrie Armour, Alaina Rexroad, Makenzie Jackson, Alexandria Haffner, and Kara Zeigler) in a matter of weeks. The Bulldogs finished 3-25 last season (2-9 in AMC) losing three seniors from the lineup in Rachel Cunningham, Jessica Spencer, and Samantha Dunker.

Glover is very familiar with the Springfield community and BenU Springfield, graduating from Lanphier High School in 2008. Glover went on to play two seasons with Lincoln Land Community College, the Loggers finishing in the top 20 in the nation in the NJCAA both seasons. A top defensive specialist under LLCC head coach Jim Dietz, Glover was an integral part of the Logger success. Glover graduated with an associate’s degree in Arts and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree at University of Illinois- Springfield.

Glover has been connected to the Springfield club volleyball circuit for many years, coaching with AMBUSH Volleyball Club and Capital Area Volleyball as well as helping out in other capacities with directing tournaments and guest coaching at area camps.
